Covid 19 Dan Penggunaan Masker Muka: Antara Manfaat Dan Resiko

Abstract


Penyakit Korona Virus yang sekarang menyebar menjadi pandemi di seluruh dunia. Usaha pencegahan seperti penggunaan masker muka adalah menjadi keniscayaan. Penggunaan masker muka memberikan impak pada pengurangan kasus penyebaran dan kematian akibat penyakit Korona Virus terutama apabila dipakai secara meluas di masyarakat. Tetapi diantara isu yang muncul apabila pemakaian masker muka terutama yang plastik dan terus buang adalah isu limbah plastik yang sulit terurai pada alam sekitar, sakit kepala atau migrain pada tenaga kesehatan, isu kerusakan kulit wajah karena tekanan masker muka, penyakit kronis yang timbul akibat penumpumpukan kadar karbondioksida di tubuh dan isu manfaat masker muka pada anak-anak. Perlu ada penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai berbagai isu yang berkembang setelah pemakaian masker muka secara meluas baik yang positif maupun negatif
