Manifestasi Neurologi Covid-19

Abstract


 

Virus corona menyebabkan beberapa infeksi sistemik yang dapat mempengaruhi berbagai sistem organ terutama pada sistem pernafasan, ada peningkatan studi tentang keterlibatan neurologis. Virus corona bermutasi dan beradaptasi dengan cepat. Infeksi pada virus ini menyerang pada manusia dengan menimbulkan gejala yang parah dan tingkat kematian yang tinggi. Gejala neurologis bisa spesifik atau tidak spesifik pada awal pasien terinfeksi COVID-19 yang sering tertunda dan salah diagnosis yang dapat menyebabkan penanganan tidak tepat. Meskipun gejala neurologis jarang terjadi pada pasien dengan COVID-19,tetapi dapat dilihat pada mereka yang memiliki infeksi parah seperti penyakit serebrovaskular akut, gangguan kesadaran atau ensefalopati. Gejala neurologi dapat dibagi lagi menjadi system saraf pusat (sakit kepala, pusing, perubahan sensorium, ataksia ensefalitis, stroke, dan kejang) dan sistem saraf perifer (cedera otot rangka dan keterlibatan saraf perifer termasuk hiposmia dan hipogeusia). Komplikasi neurologis termasuk kondisi demielinasi. Berkurangnya mobilitas dan demensia sebagai komorbiditas dapat menyebabkan pasien mengalami infeksi virus.
