Abstract


An intersection is usually formed from a meeting between two roads in different directions. The meeting between two types of road transportation infrastructure and railway crossings on Padang Medan Tembung road is one form of meeting that can cause problems, namely accidents and congestion. It is known that Padang Medan Tembung road crossing is a crossing that does not meet in terms of completeness or facilities. From the data obtained, this crossing does not meet the technical standards of doorless railway crossings. There are no security when the train passes, there is only a stimulus in the form of sirens from the train itself to signal to the users of the passing road. Then the results of the road capacity analysis according to MKJI 1997 obtained the result of C = 1313 smp / hour and for the result of traffic volume during rush hour obtained on Monday at 07.00-08.00 with 218 smp / hour. Furthermore, the saturation degree value on Jalan Padang Medan Tembung based on the calculation result is 0,17. Furthermore, the calculation of visibility at padang road railway crossing is the visibility of road users from as rail obtained dH = 45,54 meters and The visibility of the train driver against road users is obtained dT 104,54 meters
