Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

The author has a responsibility to ensure that:

1. Manuscripts are original works and do not involve fraud, forgery, or plagiarism.

2. The manuscript has not been previously published and is not currently being considered for publication elsewhere. If accepted by Agrium: Journal of Agricultural Sciences for publication, it will not be submitted for publication in other journals.

3. The manuscript does not contain defamatory or unlawful statements and does not contain material that violates individual privacy, property rights, or copyright laws.

4. The author must include a citation from the source where the quote was obtained.

5. The authors have contributed significantly to this study including article conception and design, data analysis, and manuscript writing.

6. The author is responsible for the content of the manuscript

Writing Guidance:

1. Manuscripts can be written in Indonesian or English with a word range between 4000 - 15,000 words, or in a maximum of 10-15 pages including pictures and tables.

2. Manuscripts must be written in A4 size (210 x 297 cm) and in the format of the left margin of 3.5 cm, right margin of 2.5 cm, bottom margin of 2.5 cm, and top margin of 2.5 cm.

3. Manuscripts must be written in Times New Roman font with a font size of 10 pt (excluding article title, author name and abstract title), single spaced, and in one column format (except article title, author name, and abstract).

4. The text begins with the Article Title, Author Name, Author Address, Author Email, Employment Institution, followed by an italicized abstract with 150-200 words.

5. If the article is in Indonesian, the abstract must be written in good and correct Indonesian and English. If the article is in English, then the abstract must be written in English only.

6. Submission of manuscripts using the Online Submission System on the portal http://jurnalumsu.ac.id or (http://jurnal.umsu.ac.id/index.php/agrium), or

7. Notification of acceptance: Maximum 30 (thirty) days after the date the manuscript is submitted.

8. Reference Writing Must use Automatic Reference Management, Mendeley Zetero, Endnote, and similar or Query Management tools in the MS Word Software.

ARTICLE FORMAT

Principle. The introduction should contain (in order) the general background, problem, state of the art review as the basis for the scientific novelty of the article, scientific novelty statement, and the research problem or hypothesis. At the end of the introduction, the purpose of the review article should be written. In the format of scientific articles, literature review is not allowed as in research reports, but is manifested in the form of an art review to show the scientific novelty of the article and conceptual developments can be written based on previous research studies.

Method.

The method used in problem solving is written in this section, Motede must be structured, clear, and understandable and appropriate in using the method.

Discussion.

This section does not rewrite research findings, but conducts scientific studies of research results, rather than restating the data obtained by research results. Scientific findings must be explained Scientifically include: What scientific findings were obtained? Why is this happening? Why such a variable trend? All these questions must be explained scientifically, not only descriptively, must be supported by scientific phenomena. In addition, it should also be compared with the results of other researchers on almost the same topic. Research results and findings must be able to answer the research hypothesis in the introduction.

Results.

Write scientific findings according to the method used. but must be supported by sufficient data and facts. This section only describes the research findings.

Conclusion.

Each article ends with a conclusion that summarizes the answers to the hypotheses or research objectives or scientific findings obtained. The conclusion does not contain a circle of results and discussion, but rather to summarize the findings as expected on the objectives or hypotheses. If necessary, at the end of the conclusion can also be written things that will be done related to the idea of further research.

Reference.

All references in the text of the article must be listed in the References section. References must contain a reference library that comes from the main source (scientific journal). Scientific journals (at least 80% of all bibliographies) published in the last 5 years. Each article contains at least 15 (fifteen) references. The writing format used in Agrium: Journal of Agricultural Science is in accordance with the format of the APA 6th Edition (American Psychological Association). Citation and reference writing uses automatic reference management to be more consistent in citation and reference writing by using a reference management application program such as Mendeley, Endnotes, or Zotero, or others. Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
