Histopatologi Epitel Tubulus Seminiferus Testis, Kualitas dan Kuantitas Sel Sperma Tikus Hiperkolesterolemia yang dDiberi Vitamin C

Abstract


Abstrak: Hiperkolesterolemia dapat menyebabkan ketidaknormalan fungsi reproduksi laki-laki, dimana terjadi peningkatan produksi radikal bebas dan lipid peroksidase ditiap jaringan yang berbeda yang menimbulkan stres oksidatif. Akibatnya terjadi kerusakan pada membrane sperma, stuktur protein, dan DNA yang mempengaruhi fertilitas. Vitamin C merupakan antioksidan pemecah rantai utama dan dapat menetralisir radikal bebas. Jenis penelitian ini eksperimental dengan menggunakan 35 ekor tikus wistar jantan terbagi dalam 5 kelompok. Diperiksa kadar kolesterol total sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan pada hari 1 dan hari 61. Kemudian mengamati histopatologi ketebalan epitel tubulus seminiferus testis, kualitas dan kuantitas sel sperma setelah tikus didekapitasi. Hasil dianalisis univariat untuk menghitung mean dan standar deviasi Uji normalitas data dengan Saphiro Wilk, dilanjutkan One Way Anova, Post Hoc, Kruskal Wallis dan Mann Whitney U. Hasilnya kadar kolesterol total sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan tidak berbeda nyata (p>0,05), ketebalan epitel tubulus seminiferus pada masing-masing kelompok berbeda nyata (p<0,05), kualitas dan kuantitas sel sperma pada masing-masing kelompok berbeda nyata (p<0,05). Maka vitamin C dapat memperbaiki dan mempertahankan epitel tubulus seminiferous, kualitas dan kuantitas sel sperma tikus hiperkolesterolemia dikarenakan proses transportasi vitamin C pada epitel tubulus seminiferus yang memungkinkan untuk komunikasi dengan perkembangan sel germinal
