Author Guidelines

  1. Articles written for Jurnal Interaksi: Jurnal Ilmu Komunikasi includes articles on research and development of the concept of communication fields.

  2. The article is written in Bahasa Indonesia  or English. The script is typed with Microsoft Word program, Times New Roman Letters size 12 pts, Space 11/2 (for Abstract spaces 1), standard margin (the left limit and the upper limit of 3 cm, while the right and bottom borders 2 cm), printed on A4 paper with a text length of 8-25 pages.
  3. Article systematics is the title, author's name (accompanied by institutional address and e-mail address), abstract (accompanied by keywords), Introduction, research methods, research findings and discussion, conclusion and bibliography.
  4. Abstract and keywords are written in two languages (Indonesian and English). The length of each abstract is 150-250 words, with a keyword of a number of 3-5 words. Minimal abstract contains problems, objectives, methods, data collection techniques, data analysis techniques, concepts and research findings and discussion.
  5. The preliminary section for the research articles contains the background, the context of the research, the results of the literature review and research purposes. The introductory section for the conceptual article contains a context-reference view of the problem containing interesting things (controversial, unfinished and new developments) and a brief formulation of underlying matters that will be discussed. All preliminary sections are described in the form of paragraphs, with a length of 15-20% of the total length of the article. The preliminary sections do not need to be given preliminary sub-journals.
  6. The method section contains exposure in paragraph form about research draft, data source, data collection techniques and analyses that are real researchers, with a length of 10-15% of the total article length.
  7. The research findings contains the results of data analysis related to the research question. The discussion contains the usage of results and comparisons with the theory and/or results of similar research. The length of exposure results and discussion 40-60% of the long article.
  8. The core part or the discussion for conceptual articles contains the examination or thought of the author which is analytical, argumentative, logical and critical. Exposure to discussion contains the establishment or attitudes of the authors on the problem being peeled. Long exposure to core parts or discussion of 40-80% of article length.
  9. Part of the conclusion contains research findings in the form of answers to research questions or the essence of discussion results. Conclusions are presented in paragraph form. Long exposure to the conclusion section is 5-10% of the length of the article.
  10. The reference list only contains the sources referenced in the article and all referenced sources must be listed in the reference list. The minimum reference source is 80% of the last 10-year publication. References used are primary sources of research articles in journals, Proceedings or research reports (including theses, Theses, dissertations).
  11. Referencing and quoting using a parenthesis reference technique (last name, year). The inclusion of resources on a direct quotation should be accompanied by a description of the page number where the quote originated. Example: Baran (2009:45)
  12. The ordinances of presenting quotations, references, tables, and drawings follow the provisions in the style of APA (American Psychological Association). ArtikeI speaks Bahasa Indonesia using the refined Indonesian spelling general guidelines and terms standardised by the language Center. The reference list is arranged with ordinances referring to ordinances such as the following examples and sorted alphabetically and chronologically.

  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
