Abstract

One of the ongoing agriculture problems in Thailand is the monopoly and pressure from creditors to farmers. In this study, the author would like to propose the solution of this issue by suggesting several strategies. Firstly, local farmers have to form a cluster originating from a small group or community that can support knowledge exchange and sharing. Apart from this, we need to engage the use of technology for large scale farming as it has always been practiced in the European countries for the sake of efficiency. All of these knowledge has been imported to Thailand as a tool for improvement, and it will also support the concept of Thailand 4.0, which is backed by the concept of modern agriculture that is inspired by the royal project of Thailands King. In summary, these strategies will help Thai farmers to evolve as Smart Farmers (reduce cost and increase quality yields) that are equipped with Precision Farming tool.
