Literasi Keuangan terhadap Perilaku Konsumtif Pelajar Remaja yang Dimoderasi oleh Perilaku Fintech
Abstract
Transformasi digital telah merevolusi sektor keuangan melalui kehadiran financial technology (fintech), namun kemudahan ini memicu kekhawatiran akan peningkatan perilaku konsumtif di kalangan remaja yang memiliki literasi keuangan relatif rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh literasi keuangan terhadap perilaku konsumtif pelajar remaja dengan perilaku fintech sebagai variabel moderasi. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif eksplanatori, data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner daring dari 153 pelajar SMA/SMK di Kota Medan yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan regresi linear berganda dan Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) melalui perangkat lunak SPSS 31. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi keuangan secara parsial tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap perilaku konsumtif. Sebaliknya, perilaku fintech berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap perilaku konsumtif, yang mengindikasikan bahwa semakin tinggi intensitas penggunaan layanan keuangan digital, semakin tinggi pula kecenderungan perilaku konsumtif remaja. Lebih lanjut, perilaku fintech ditemukan tidak mampu memoderasi hubungan antara literasi keuangan dan perilaku konsumtif. Temuan ini memberikan implikasi penting bagi lembaga pendidikan dan orang tua untuk meningkatkan edukasi keuangan yang adaptif terhadap tren digital guna menekan risiko perilaku konsumtif berlebihan pada generasi muda.

Digital transformation in the financial sector has increased the use of financial technology (fintech) services among teenage students, potentially influencing consumptive behavior, particularly among those with limited financial literacy. This study aims to examine the effect of financial literacy on teenage students’ consumptive behavior with fintech behavior as a moderating variable. The study employed a quantitative explanatory approach using purposive sampling. Data were collected through an online questionnaire from 153 senior high school students in Medan City who actively use fintech services. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with IBM SPSS Statistics 31. The results indicate that financial literacy has no significant effect on teenage students’ consumptive behavior. In contrast, fintech behavior has a positive and significant effect on consumptive behavior. Furthermore, the moderation test reveals that fintech behavior does not moderate the relationship between financial literacy and consumptive behavior. These findings suggest that the intensity of fintech usage plays a more dominant role in shaping teenage students’ consumptive behavior than financial literacy levels. This study provides practical implications for educational institutions and stakeholders to design adaptive financial literacy programs aligned with teenage students’ digital financial behavior.
