Islam A Progressive Civilization Religion

Abstract


Islam is a religion that has unlimited editions, meaning that Islam is an religion that continues to suit the conditions of the times until the Day of Judgment comes. All aspects of the teachings contained in Islam can be used as guides and instructions by all humans in order to navigate this sea of life full of waves. And Islam is a religion whose teachings have the content of civilization that can bring humans to progress.

Civilized and progressive Muslims have a vision in their life marked by three main characteristics. First, rationalism is characterized by an open, critical and dialectical spirit so that in accepting religious beliefs, he will hear and weigh opinions using reason and a pure heart. Second, pragmatism is characterized by the courage to accept goodness from various sources. Third, vernacularization, namely making traditions useful for life.
