Research Journal Improving The Character Of Students In The Establishment Of Characteristics

Abstract

In pesantren-based education, students have an important role for schools, in the formation of character and morality. This role is often carried out by students of Al-Azhar Assyarif Islamic Middle School, North Sumatra. In the pesantren itself, there are several lessons that make students' character formed, for example, such as faith and morals. They also need to be strengthened by strengthening their daily character, such as giving a smile, greeting and greeting the teacher or each other and those who are older than the students. In this study, it has an important purpose in practicum and to know in detail about the etiquette of students at the Al-Azhar Assyarif Islamic Middle School, North Sumatra.The results showed that the existing learning system at Al-Azhar Assyarif Islamic Junior High School, North Sumatra, was more inclined to a more modern technological system compared to using a pesantren-based school learning system in general which prioritized the salaf method for learning and moral improvement. This research is a qualitative research in which data collection is in the form of documentation, interviews, and observations. Technical analysis of data using qualitative analysis.
