Opportunities And Challenges Of Islamic Educational Institutions Facing Globalization

Abstract


The global challenges faced by Islamic educational institutions are increasingly complex which are marked by the existence of several challenges faced by Islamic educational institutions, namely in the fields of politics, culture, science and technology, economy, society, value systems and socio-religious. This study will examine the challenges faced by Islamic educational institutions using a qualitative approach. The results show that Islamic educational institutions are required to be able to have a dialectic with existing progress, and on the other hand Islamic educational institutions must also not forget the goals of Islamic education itself. . Islamic Educational Institutions must be able to fortify Muslims from the negative effects of globalization and existing technological developments, and maximize their positive effects in order to realize the goals of Islamic education itself.
