Islamic education During the Abbasid Period the Glory of the Baitul Hikmah and It's Impact on the Islamic Word

Abstract


This study aims to explore the role, contribution, and impact of Baitul Hikmah on the development of science and Islamic civilization during the Abbasid Dynasty. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach based on literature review to describe the phenomenon in depth. The researcher used a narrative approach to describe how the institution functioned as a center for translation, research, and scientific development during the period. The research results show that, as an intellectual institution, the institution not only became a symbol of the glory of Islamic science but also played a key role in shaping global civilization. The concept of integration between religion and science can be an inspiration in facing the challenges of modern education in the Islamic world.
