EDUCATIONAL ASPECTS OF CHILDREN IN THE FAMILY BASED ON SURAH LUQMAN VERSES 13-19
Abstract
Abstract: Education is an essential element in life that must be obtained by every individual. It should be emphasized that education is not only acquired from formal institutions like schools but it must also be taught from the smallest group, which is the family. Therefore, from a young age, education within the family must already be implemented. The family plays a vital role in children's education; in this case, parents must provide teaching and education to their children, and Surah Luqman verses 13-19 provide valuable guidance regarding its educational aspects. This study aims to present profound messages within these verses that encompass aspects of faith, ethics, and character development. Using text analysis methods and qualitative approaches, this research identifies four main aspects of children's education: (1) Instilling faith as the foundation of life, (2) Enhancing moral and ethical awareness, (3) Encouraging good deeds and avoiding wrongdoing, and (4) The role of communication in parent-child relationships. The findings indicate that the values contained in these verses are relevant to be applied in the context of modern family education. This study aims to provide insights to educators and parents to integrate these teachings into daily practices, thus shaping a generation that is characterized by noble character and morals.
