Abstract

Amil in Islamic philanthropic institutions have an important role in managing social funds and distributing them to those who are entitled. However, high work pressure often causes stress that can affect their performance. This study aims to analyze how the values of Maqashid al-Shariah, especially Hifz al-Din, Hifz al-Nafs, and Hifz al-'Aql, contribute to amil's stress coping strategies. The research method used is a quantitative approach with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS). Data were collected through questionnaires from a number of amil in Islamic philanthropic institutions in Indonesia. The results showed that the three independent variables had a positive and significant effect on stress coping, with Hifz al-'Aql having the strongest effect (T-Statistic = 6.416, P-Value = 0.000). The R-square value of 0.850 indicates that the research model has a very strong predictive ability. These findings indicate that the application of Maqashid al-Shariah values in the lives of amils can increase their resilience in facing work pressure. Therefore, philanthropic institutions are advised to develop programs based on spirituality, mental health, and intellectual training to support the psychological well-being of amils.
