Abstract

Pesticides are substances used to control, repel, attract, or eradicate nuisance organisms. The name of the pesticide itself comes from pest which means pest which is given the suffix -cide which means exterminator. Dusun XVIII Sopoyono, located in Saentis Village, Percut Sei Tuan District, is a hamlet with an area of 625 hectares consisting of 188 family cards. The people of XVIII Sopoyono hamlet generally make a living as farmers. The purpose of this outreach activity is to provide knowledge about the negative impacts caused by the use of chemical pesticides on the environment as well as human and livestock health. And invites the farmers in the village to switch from using chemical pesticides to pesticides made from natural ingredients.
