Abstract


The problems that occurred in the district of Medan Tembung drainage system that is flooded every year, especially in the rainy season. In a number of drainage channels, both in the home environment and the population of the trunk so big rain occurs water overflowing out and inundate settlements and roads. Size floodwaters ± 400 m, the water level of ± 50 cm, and the length of a pool of ± 3 hours at Jl. Perjuangan. In this study used methods Log Pearson Type III and the results of the analysis in to the value of the discharge (Q) designed to return period of 10 years ie, from primary pipelines Q10 = 2.678 m3/s, for the secondary channel Q10 = 1,112 m3/s, and for tertiary canals Q10 = 0.318 m3/s, the results of the analysis can be bahwasannya in secondary and tertiary drainage channel was no longer able to accommodate the amount of discharge of rainfall, while the primary drainage channel is still able to accommodate the amount of discharge of rainfall. Therefore for secondary and tertiary drainage channels need to be re-planning to be able to accommodate the amount of discharge of rainfall.
