Analysis of Instilling Disciplinary Character Education in Students in Scout Extracurricular Activities in Elementary Schools
Abstract
This research aims to describe and analyze the formation of students' disciplined character education through scout extracurricular activities at SD Negeri 068085 Medan Amplas. The method used in this research is a qualitative research method. The type of research used is descriptive research. Because in descriptive research the data collected is in the form of words so there is no emphasis on numbers. The research subjects were scout coaching and fifth grade students who took part in scout extracurricular activities. The data collection technique used in this research was interviews with scout leaders and students. The results of this research show that the implementation of the cultivation of disciplined character through scouting activities at SD Negeri 068085 Medan Amplas is carried out through ceremonial activities, Marching Rules (PBB), routine training and rigging which aims to ensure that students always obey the established rules and regulations. The cultivation of disciplinary character carried out in this research through scouting education activities is quite effective and has an effect on improving students' disciplinary character in terms of knowing and obeying school rules and regulations. This is known from the results of interviews conducted by research during scout extracurricular activities at SD Negeri 068085 Medan Amplas.
