Penguatan Inklusi Sosial Melalui Pendidikan Al-Qur'an bagi Difabel: Studi Kasus TPQ Inklusi Ibnu Ummi Maktum di Yogyakarta
Abstract
Persons with disabilities continue to face various barriers in accessing equitable religious education, including Qur'anic learning. Such conditions may reinforce social exclusion and limit their participation in community life. This study aims to examine the role of Qur'anic education in strengthening social inclusion among persons with disabilities through a case study of the Ibnu Ummi Maktum Inclusive Qur'anic Learning Center (TPQ) Program in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data are collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis involving TPQ administrators, educators, learners with disabilities, and other relevant stakeholders. Thematic analysis is used to identify forms of inclusive services, learning strategies, enabling and constraining factors, and their impact on enhancing the social participation of learners. The findings are expected to contribute to the development of an inclusive Qur'anic education model that can be replicated by other religious educational institutions and serve as a foundation for formulating policies aimed at strengthening disability-friendly religious education services. Consequently, this study is expected to contribute to the promotion of social inclusion, the improvement of the social well-being of persons with disabilities, and the achievement of more equitable and inclusive development.
