Culinary Business Motivation to Give Halal Label at Rocket Chicken Wirosentiko Palembang Restaurant

Abstract


Indonesia, the majority Muslim population is certainly careful in choosing restaurants, Islam regulates halal and haram laws in food, this motivates restaurants to make halal certificates. Therefore, culinary business owners in giving halal labels at Wirosentiko Rocket Chicken Restaurant Palembang try for get certificate certified halal by assembly Indonesian Ulama (MUI) . This study uses the method of writing this paper using qualitative descriptive research. Data was collected by using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Determination of research subjects using purposive sampling technique . The purpose of the study was to determine the motivation of culinary business owners in giving halal labels at the Rocket Chicken Wirosentiko Palembang Restraunt . The results show first, that the motivation of business owners in labeling halal is to get consumer recognition, improve food quality, can create good environmental conditions, high performance and to seek blessings and carry out Allah's commands to sell or consume food and beverage products must be halal. and good. The two benefits after having a halal certificate at this rocket chicken restaurant are consumers Becomes increase as well as visitors will feel more calm and comfortable when ordering food. Third as for Steps for Owner Rocket Chicken to obtain the first Halal Label , understand the requirements for the second halal certification, attend training on the halal assurance system, implement the halal assurance system, prepare documents, register, monitor pre audit and payment of certification contracts, conduct audits, and carry out post monitoring audit then can obtain a halal certificate.
