Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the potential of the rice field village tourist attraction on the community's economy in Pematang Johar Village, to find out how the village government policies in increasing the potential of the rice field village tourist attraction in Pematang Johar Village, and to find out the obstacles faced by the community in managing the rice field village tourist attraction. in Pematang Johar Village. The sample from this research was from the Kampung Sawah tourist attraction in Pematang Johar Village. This research uses the data analysis method used by researchers in this research, namely qualitative data analysis techniques. The results of the research show that from the explanation of the description of tourism and rice fields, it can be concluded that rice field tourism is a building which is also a place for recreation or enjoying natural beauty which is cultivated by the community around the village which has natural potential such as rice fields which can also be useful for the public as a learning medium. in the agricultural sector, so that the function of rice field tourism is not only as a place of recreation, but also as a place of learning (education) for children or adults who want to see firsthand how rice field agricultural products are processed. This tour will also uplift people who have small and medium businesses which will later be able to develop through visitors who come to the tour, this will help the economy of the surrounding community and continue to develop and will even reduce the unemployment rate in the village community due to job vacancies that appear through there is rice field tourism in Pematang Johar Village.
