LESSONS ON THE HISTORY OF ISLAMIC CIVILIZATION IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL GRADE 1 TO GRADE 6

Abstract


Learning the history of Islamic civilization in Elementary schools have a very important role in character education and character formation. religious insight of students from an early age. This article examines the learning framework that structured to teach the history of Islamic civilization from grade 1 to grade 6. Focus the discussion includes an introduction to the basic values of Islam, inspirational stories of the prophets, companions, as well as important figures in Islamic history. In addition, this article highlights the methods engaging teaching, such as the use of visual media, storytelling, and creative projects, which designed to increase students' interest and understanding of the material being taught. With a holistic and contextual approach, this article emphasizes the importance of integrating Islamic historical narrative with local cultural elements to build a sense of pride and identity in among students. This article also discusses the relevance of this approach to efforts that more broadly to promote moderation and inclusivity in religious education. The findings shows that the Islamic history curriculum is structured and contextually relevant can significantly help shape a young generation that is noble, tolerant, and able to contribute positively to society. This article concludes that the application of various teaching strategies, complemented by with active involvement, able to enrich students' learning experiences. Thus, students not only gain historical knowledge, but also internalize values. Islamic morals and ethics in everyday life.
