Artificial Intelligence (AI) Use Policy
The journal recognizes that artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted technologies may support aspects of the research and writing process. However, authors remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, integrity, and scientific validity of all submitted work.
Acceptable Uses of AI
Authors may use AI-assisted tools for limited purposes such as:

Improving grammar, spelling, punctuation, and readability.

Enhancing language clarity and style.

Formatting or organizing text without altering the scientific content.

Assisting with coding, data visualization, or other technical tasks, provided that all outputs are carefully verified by the authors.
Unacceptable Uses of AI
AI tools must not be used to:

Generate or fabricate research data, results, images, or references.

Create misleading, falsified, or manipulated scientific content.

Replace the authors' intellectual contribution, interpretation, analysis, or scholarly judgment.

Produce substantial portions of a manuscript without meaningful human oversight and verification.
Disclosure Requirements
Authors must disclose the use of AI-assisted technologies if they have been used beyond basic language editing. The disclosure should be included in a dedicated section entitled "AI Use Statement" before the References or in the Acknowledgments section, as appropriate.
An example statement is:
The authors used [AI tool name and version] to improve the language and readability of this manuscript. All scientific content, data interpretation, analyses, and conclusions were developed and verified by the authors, who accept full responsibility for the manuscript.
If AI-assisted tools contributed to coding, data analysis, figure preparation, or other substantive tasks, authors must clearly describe the nature and extent of such use.
Authorship
AI tools or large language models (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, or similar systems) do not meet the criteria for authorship and must not be listed as authors or co-authors. Only individuals who satisfy the journal's authorship criteria may be designated as authors.
