Focus and Scope

Persepsi: Communication Journal is a media publication manuscript that contains the results of the Field Research communication science applying peer-reviewed. Manuscripts published in the Persepsi: Communication Journal includes the results of current original scientific research article reviews. Persepsi: Communication Journal accepts manuscripts in the field of research that covers scientific fields:

Peer Review Process

Each accepted manuscript of Persepsi: Communication Journal will go through a review process by the Editor and reviewers, using a Double-blind Peer-Review Process in which the reviewer does not know the identity of the author, and the author does not know the identity of the reviewer.

Each manuscript received will be sent to Reviewers who registered in Persepsi: Communication Journal. The review process lasts a maximum of up to 30 (thirty) days with the allocation of time given to each reviewer to complete its review process being a maximum of ten (10) working days. If the previous peer-reviewer is not able to finish the review work within the time limit specified then Editor-in-Chief will appoint a surrogate reviewer to do a review manuscript.

In the review process, reviewers provide considerations relating to compatibility between the title, abstract, introduction, discussion (results), and conclusion. In addition, the reviewer also gives consideration associated with novelty, scientific impact, and references used

Review Process:

1. Author submit the manuscript

2. Editor Evaluation [some manuscripts are rejected or returned before the review process]

3. Double-blind peer review process

4. Editor Decision (Accepted Submission, Revisions Required, Resubmit For Review, Decline Submission)

5. Confirmation to the authors

The final decision of article acceptance will be made by Editors according to reviewers' comments. Publication of accepted articles including the sequence of published articles will be made by the Editor-in-Chief by considering the sequence of accepted dates and geographical distribution of authors.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

 

Plagiarism Check

All authors are suggested to use plagiarism detection softaware to do the similarity checking. Editors check the plagiarism detection of articles in this journal by using a Turnitin Software & Plagiarism Checker Sofware 

 

 

References Management

References to other publications must be in American Psychological Association (APA) style and carefully checked for completeness, accuracy and consistency.

Retraction

The papers published in the Persepsi : Communication Journal will be consider to retract in the publication if :

  1. They have clear evidence that the findings are unreliable, either as a result of misconduct (e.g. data fabri-cation) or honest error (e.g. miscalculation or experimental error). 
  2. the findings have previously been published elsewhere without proper crossreferencing, permission orjustification (i.e. cases of redundant publication)
  3. it constitutes plagiarism
  4. it reports unethical research

Publication Ethics is a statement regarding the scientific code of ethics from various parties involved in the publication process in Persepsi: Communication Journal which consists of managers, editors, peer reviewers, and writers. The statement in the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications basically upholds three ethical values in publication, which are (i) Neutrality, which is free from conflicts of interest in the management of publications; (ii) Justice, which is granting authorship rights to those entitled to become authors; and (iii) Honesty, which is free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism in publications.

Publisher Responsibilities

  1. Publisher of Persepsi: Communication Journal is responsible for publishing manuscripts that have passed the editing, review, and layout processes in accordance with the scientific journal publishing rules.
  2. Publisher of Persepsi: Communication Journal is responsible for ensuring academic freedom for editors and Mitrabestari in carrying out their respective duties.
  3. Publisher of Persepsi: Communication Journal is responsible for maintaining privacy and protecting intellectual property and copyright, and editorial freedom.

Editor's Responsibilities

  1. Editor of Persepsi: Communication Journal is responsible for deciding manuscripts that are worthy of publication through editorial board meetings referring to applicable legal requirements regarding defamation, copyright infringement, duplication, data fabrication, data falsification, and plagiarism.
  2. In the process of reviewing and accepting manuscripts, the editorial team of Persepsi: Communication Journal is based on the principle of equality of treatment in making decisions to publish manuscripts without distinction of race, gender, religion, ethnicity, nationality, or political ideology of the author.
  3. Editors and the editorial team of Persepsi: Communication Journal will not disclose any information about the manuscript or submitted manuscripts except with the permission of the author.
  4. Unpublished manuscripts will not be used by the editors of Persepsi: Communication Journal as part of their own research and will be returned directly to the author.

Peer-reviewer Responsibilities

Peer reviewer of Persepsi: Communication Journal assists editors in making editorial decisions on submitted manuscripts:

  1. Peer reviewer of Persepsi: Communication Journal is responsible for the recommendations of the manuscripts being reviewed.
  2. The manuscript review is carried out objectively and supported by clear arguments.
  3. Peer reviewer of Persepsi: Communication Journal is responsible for citations, references, duplications, data fabrication, data falsification, and plagiarism of the manuscripts that has reviewed.
  4. Peer reviewer of Persepsi: Communication Journal must always maintain the confidentiality of the information and not use information from the manuscripts that has reviewed for personal gain/interest.

Author's Responsibilities

  1. Authors must present the results of their thoughts or research clearly, honestly, and without duplication, data fabrication, data falsification, and plagiarism.
  2. The author is responsible for the confirmation submitted for the manuscript that has been written.
  3. Authors must indicate references to the opinions and works of others who are quoted
  4. The author must write the manuscript ethically, honestly,  and responsibly, in accordance with the guidelines scientific writing.
  5. The author does not mind if the manuscript is edited in the review process and layout without changing the substance or main idea of the article.
