Analysis Of The Difficulties Of Learning Science About Living Things In Class V Of Muhammadiyah 32 FKIP Umsu Primary School
Abstract
This research aims to determine the forms and factors that cause learning difficulties in students in class V of SD Muhammadiyah 32 Medan City regarding the diversity of living things. The number of students in class V is 7 people consisting of 4 boys and 3 girls. The method used in this research is qualitative and quantitative methods with a case study approach. The data collection technique is purposive sampling analysis which consists of observation, interviews and questionnaires. The results of this research were carried out using 10 indicators with the conclusion that students in class V found it difficult to learn due to the teacher's lack of creativity in developing children's motor skills so that children would quickly become bored in studying living creatures. This is also possible due to external factors such as not having breakfast from home, which makes children unfocused due to hunger, the role of parents who are not supportive, and playing around during class hours.
