Fenomena Hormesis Nigella Sativa pada Mukositis Oral
Abstract
Mukositis Oral (MO) merupakan komplikasi penatalaksanaan kemoradioterapi pada pasien kanker karena patofisiologi yang kompleks. Sekitar 20% hingga 40% pasien tumor yang menerima kemoterapi mengalami mukositis oral, hingga saat ini pengobatan MO yang ada hanya bersifat paliatif dan belum meninjukkan manfaat terapeutik yang signifikan. Penggunaan bahan alam terutama dalam bentuk whole extract memiliki fenomena yang tidak dose dependent, sehingga menjadi tantangan di bidang klinis salah satunya hormesis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis terjadinya fenomena hormesis Nigella sativa pada pasien mukositis oral. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui metode tinjauan literatur, pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penelusuran artikel terkait pemberian Nigella sativa pada mukositis oral. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada fenomena hormesis nigella sativa yang terjadi pada pasien mukositis oral.
