Weather Station: Theory and Analysis of Weather Monitoring Technology Development

Rival Gibran Zen, Mahmuda Marbun

Abstract

A weather station is a device designed to collect and analyze atmospheric data to understand and predict weather conditions. This research involved a literature study to explore the theory and working principles of weather stations, the main components used, and technological advancements in weather monitoring. The main focus of this research is to provide an in-depth understanding of various types of weather sensors, the integration of Internet of Things (IoT) technology, and the role of weather data across various sectors. The research findings indicate that advancements in weather station technology have significantly enhanced weather prediction accuracy, impacting various fields such as agriculture, transportation, and disaster mitigation.
