IJATCoS recognizes the growing use of generative AI and AI-assisted tools (for example ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, and similar tools). This policy applies to authors, reviewers, and editors.
For authors
- AI tools cannot be listed as authors, because they cannot take responsibility for the work or hold copyright.
- Use of AI tools for writing, language editing, translation, coding, or data analysis must be disclosed in the Methods or Acknowledgment section, naming the tool, version, and purpose.
- Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the content, including all references. AI-generated citations must be verified.
- AI must not be used to fabricate or manipulate data, images, or results. Basic grammar and spelling tools do not need to be disclosed.
For reviewers and editors
- Manuscripts are confidential. Do not upload manuscripts or review reports to public AI tools.
- AI must not replace the reviewer's own scientific judgment. Any use of AI to improve the wording of a review must be disclosed to the editor.
Undisclosed or inappropriate AI use may lead to rejection, or retraction if discovered after publication.
