IJATCoS follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) on retractions, corrections, and expressions of concern.
Grounds for retraction: clear evidence of unreliable findings due to misconduct or honest error; plagiarism or redundant publication; fabricated or falsified data; unethical research; authorship disputes proven to be violations; and undisclosed major conflicts of interest.
Procedure
- A concern is reported to the Editor-in-Chief, who acknowledges it and informs the authors.
- The editorial board investigates and the authors are given an opportunity to respond.
- Depending on the outcome, the journal publishes a correction, an expression of concern, or a retraction notice.
Retraction notices are linked to the original article, state the reason and who initiated the retraction, and are clearly labeled. The original article remains available online with a "RETRACTED" watermark, so that the scholarly record stays transparent. Removal of content is limited to cases involving legal issues or serious risk to individuals.
