All manuscripts submitted to IJATCoS: Indonesian Journal of Applied Technology, Computer and Science are subject to a double-blind peer review process. Reviewers do not know the identity of the authors, and authors do not know the identity of the reviewers.
Review stages
- Initial screening. The Editor-in-Chief checks the manuscript for suitability with the journal's aims and scope, compliance with the author guidelines, and similarity level. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements are rejected or returned to the authors without external review.
- Peer review. Suitable manuscripts are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. Reviewers evaluate originality, significance, methodology, validity of results, clarity, and references.
- Editorial decision. Based on the reviewers' reports, the editor decides: Accept Submission, Revisions Required, Resubmit for Review, or Decline Submission.
- Revision. Authors submit the revised manuscript together with a point-by-point response to the reviewers within [14] days.
- Production. Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting, layout editing, and proofreading before publication.
The average time from submission to the first decision is [4–6] weeks. Reviewers are expected to complete their evaluation within [14] days, treat the manuscript as confidential, and declare any conflict of interest.
