Implementation of Tahsin Learning Module to Improve the Ability to Read the Qur'an at SMAN 10 Gowa

Abstract


This study discusses the implementation of tahsin learning to improve Qur'anic reading skills at SMAN 10 Gowa. The aim is to enhance students’ ability to read the Qur’an through ROHIS activities at SMAN 10 Gowa, as well as to examine the outcomes of using the tahsin module. This research adopts a qualitative approach to obtain more comprehensive and in-depth information regarding the application of the tahsin learning module in improving Qur'anic reading skills at SMAN 10 Gowa. The data collection methods used include observation, interviews, and documentation, followed by data validity testing to ensure results that reflect actual conditions. The findings of the study indicate that to master BTAQ, students must first be able to read the Qur’an. There are three levels of Qur'anic reading proficiency identified at SMAN 10 Gowa: high, moderate, and low. High proficiency is characterized by accurate reading, writing fluency, memorization, and correct reading melody. Moderate proficiency is indicated by correct letter recognition but with less precise reading. Low proficiency refers to poor reading ability, both in memorization and letter recognition, or the complete inability to read.
