References Management Policy
Ar-Rasyid: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam encourages authors to maintain accurate, consistent, and verifiable references in all submitted manuscripts. Proper reference management is essential to acknowledge previous scholarly work, support academic arguments, prevent plagiarism, and maintain the integrity of scholarly publishing.
1. Citation and Referencing Style
Authors must use the American Psychological Association (APA), 7th edition, referencing style for in-text citations and the reference list. All sources cited in the manuscript must appear in the reference list, and every entry in the reference list must be cited in the text, except where the journal's specific instructions state otherwise.
2. Reference Management Software
Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software, such as Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote, to organize bibliographic information, insert citations, and generate reference lists consistently. Authors remain responsible for checking the accuracy and formatting of all citations and references, regardless of the software used.
3. Quality and Relevance of References
References should be relevant to the research topic, reliable, and drawn from credible scholarly sources. Authors are encouraged to prioritize primary sources, peer-reviewed journal articles, and recent scholarly publications, while including foundational works where appropriate. References should directly support the arguments, methods, and findings presented in the manuscript.
Authors should verify that all bibliographic details, including author names, publication year, article or book title, journal title, volume, issue, page range, and DOI or URL where applicable, are complete and accurate. DOIs should be presented as active links in the format https://doi.org/xxxxx.
4. Ethical Citation Practices
Authors must cite all sources used in preparing the manuscript and must not fabricate references, cite sources that they have not verified, or misrepresent the content of cited works. Excessive self-citation, citation manipulation, and irrelevant citations intended solely to increase citation counts are not permitted.
Authors must ensure that quotations, paraphrases, ideas, data, and other material derived from previous publications are appropriately acknowledged. All references must be traceable to authentic sources. AI-generated references must not be used unless their existence and bibliographic details have been independently verified.
5. Reference List Requirements
The reference list must be arranged alphabetically by the surname of the first author and formatted consistently according to APA 7th edition. Authors should ensure consistency between in-text citations and reference-list entries before submitting the manuscript.
Authors should also follow the journal's current Author Guidelines regarding the minimum number of references, the proportion of primary scholarly sources, and the recommended publication period for cited literature.
6. Editorial Verification
The editorial team may check the accuracy, relevance, completeness, and consistency of citations and references during the initial screening or editorial process. Manuscripts with incomplete, inaccurate, unverifiable, or improperly formatted references may be returned to the authors for correction before further consideration.
Ar-Rasyid: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam expects all authors to follow these requirements to ensure responsible citation practices, accurate attribution of scholarly contributions, and high standards of academic integrity.
